Goodwill Recycles Computer Equipment – for Free!

Goodwill has always been the epitome of recycling based on the concept of one person’s trash being another person’s treasure.  They make the concept even better by using the proceeds to help the less fortunate.  Did you know they also provide a service that helps to keep obsolete and damaged computer equipment out of landfills?

Goodwill accepts all types and brands of electronic equipment, in any condition, at all their locations. Goodwill’s Dell Reconnect Program is a partnership between Goodwill of Western Missouri & Eastern Kansas and Dell. Donated items are shipped to their main offices where they are disassembled by employees from the Extended Employment Services program – you’re helping to create jobs while recycling!

What will they accept?  Monitors, computers, hard drives, printers, speakers, cords, cables, ink and toner cartridges, software, scanners, mice and keyboards.  Whew!

To take advantage of this program, take your items to any Goodwill location.  It’s totally free!  For more details on the program visit the MoKan Goodwill website.
