10 Things You Can Recycle Through the Mail

While the CassRecycle program accepts most commonly accepted recyclable materials at our drop-off bin locations and additional items at our Household Hazardous Waste Events and Electronic Waste Events.  However, if you’re ready to get rid of some of those items right away or have some things we don’t accept, check to see if that item can be recycled by mail.  There are many companies that offer mail-in recycling for items like cell phones, batteries, printer cartridges, light bulbs and more!

A recent article on Earth911.com tells all about some of the items you can recycle through the mail:”A mail-back program offers collection and recycling or disposal of products by sending them via mail. There may be fees associated with mail-in program recycling, but some programs do pay for shipping costs, so it’s best that you call or visit the website before sending in products. They may also have special packaging requirements or instructions for you to follow.”

Some, like All Lamp Recycling, LLC, are located right here in Missouri.
