Cass County returns to Household Hazardous Waste Program

The MARC Solid Waste Management District has just announced Unincorporated Cass County is back in the HHW program. This includes towns under population 500 and includes residents of River Estates, Lake Annette, Freeman, Gunn City, Strasburg, East Lynne, Creighton and West Line.

The cities of Archie, Loch Lloyd, Drexel and Peculiar are not included in this program.

Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) includes items such as household cleaners, lawn and garden products, automotive fluids, paints and other chemical products. These flammable, toxic, corrosive or reactive items are labeled with danger, warning or caution.

For more information on how to properly dispose of your HHW at a community collection facility or at one of the regional mobile collection events, visit recyclespot.org.
